Abstract

In this chapter, the authors made an overview of the research
directed to digital competencies . This paper is based on frameworks whose
purpose is to measure digital skills in specific areas . The starting point in
measuring digital competencies is Digital Competence Framework for citizens (DigComp) developed by the European Commission . The paper begins
with an introduction in which elementary terms are explained, followed by
a description of DigComp as a primary framework, its implementation and
the conclusion in which the short resume is given as well as future research
recommendations.
